"He bills his music as 'hot-rod rockabilly' and has the chops to back it up" - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
The latest album from Peterborough, Ontario's Nicholas Campbell is his most red-hot release yet. Chronicling the golden years of rockabilly, crooner country, and a dash of 'reefer' blues, People Like To Talk finds Campbell leaning further into the raw, rebellious energy that made his previous work stand out.

Following his 2021 debut Livin' and Other Western Ideas and 2024's Gonna Have A Ball Tonight, 2026's People Like To Talk showcases an artist who's not just mimicking vintage sounds but genuinely living them. At 21-years-old, Campbell doesn't sound like a young musician playing dress-up in his grandfather's leather jacket, but a guy who has lived through every heartbreak and hot rod in these songs. Backed by his tight band The Metre Cheaters, he channels the swagger of '50s legends with effortless authenticity, approaching classic sounds with the urgency of someone discovering them for the first time.
